Geng: Goi! Come here! Shall we continue with a new poem? Do you remember the poem we recited (over and over again to memorize it) yesterday?
ก้อย: จำได้จ้ะ ก็กลอน “คำบัน น” ไง
Goi: I remember! It was the “‘Ban nor’ words” poem.
เก่ง: น้องของพี่เนี่ยะ(นี่อ่ะ)จำแม่นจังเลย วันเนี้ยะ(นี้อ่ะ)จะท่องกลอน บัน อีกแบบนึงที่เขียนเป็น บ ใบไม้ ร เรือ ร เรือ ที่เรียกว่า ร หันจ้ะ
ไม้บรรทัดบรรจุไว้ บรรทุกไปที่บรรยาย
เขียนบรรจงอีกมากมาย คำที่ใช้บรร รร
Geng: My little sister sure has a good memory! Well, today, we’ll be reciting (over and over again to memorize it) another type of ‘Ban’ poem; one that is written ‘Bor bai maai’, ‘Ror reua Ror reua’ (that’s called ‘Ror han’).
‘Maai ban-tat ban-ju wai’ ‘Ban-tuk bpai tee ban-yaai’
‘Kian ban-jong eek maak maai’ ‘Kam tee chai Ban (Ror han)’
ก้อย: อ๋อจำได้ ง่ายนิดเดียว
Goi: Ah, that’s pretty easy to remember.
เก่ง: บอกมาเชียว คำอะไรน้ออออ
Geng: Well, then, tell me what the words are.
ก้อย: ฟังนะ อย่าหน้างอล่ะ บรรทัด บรรจุ บรรทุก บรรยาย และยังมีอีกมากจำไม่ได้หาเอาเองเถอะ
Goi: Alrighty, then, listen up and don’t frown. ‘Ban-tat’, ‘Ban-ju’, ‘Ban-tuk’, ‘Ban-yaai’ and there are still many more that I can’t remember, so go and look them up yourself.

Narrator: There are many words that use ‘Ban (Ror han)’ for example ‘Ban-tat’, ‘Ban-tuk’, ‘Ban-ju’, ‘Ban-jong’, ‘Ban-yaai’, ‘Ban-yong’, ‘Ban-lu’ and ‘Ban-layng’.

‘Ban-tat’ (บรรทัด) basically means ‘(a) line (as in a row of words that form part of a text)’.
‘Ban-tuk’ (บรรทุก) basically means ‘(to) load (onto say a vehicle) for transportation’.
‘Ban-ju’ (บรรจุ) basically means ‘(to) fill, put in, pack, or package (say containers)’.
‘Ban-jong’ (บรรจง) basically means ‘(to) do / use something meticulously (as in very carefully and with great attention to every detail)’.
‘Ban-yaai’ (บรรยาย) basically means ‘(to) explain, elaborate, recount’.
‘Ban-yong’ (บรรยง) basically means ‘(to) embellish’.
‘Ban-lu’ (บรรลุ) basically means ‘(to) attain, reach, achieve, succeed (accomplish)’.
‘Ban-layng’ (บรรเลง) basically means ‘(to) play / make music (originally covering music made using marching band instruments but currently the meaning is much wider and can cover any type of musical instrument)’.
